How to add your kōrero and whakaaro to tribal activities

To become a registered member you must be able to whakapapa to at least one of the five marae of the South Kaipara being;

  • Whiti te Ra o Reweti

  • Haranui (Otakanini)

  • Kakanui (Te Kia Ora)

  • Araparera (Te Aroha Pa) or 

  • Puatahi.

Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara Development Trust Office holds the members' register and the information is used in relation to all Governance and Membership Services.  The Development Trust Office is responsible for:

  • Managing the register and the registration process;

  • Maintaining, protecting and preserving Whakapapa files as recognised taonga;

  • Providing advice and services and research pertaining to Whakapapa related matters; and,

  • Undertaking whakapapa based projects to enhance affiliation and communication processes.

Online registrations will be available soon.  For now please download the application and email it to admin@kaiparamoana.com or post it to PO BOX 41, Helensville.

Registration can take 4-6 weeks so please start the process as soon as possible.

Member Benefits

Once registered, yourself and your children aged under 18 are eligible to access all benefits and services that are offered by Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara Development Trust and it's subsidiaries.

Benefits and services on offer will change from time to time as they rely on funds to be provided through profits of our commercial entities or external funding that is applied for by our Development Team. 

If you provide a photo with your application we will automatically send a Kaipara Card.
