Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara Whenua Hoko Holdings Ltd (‘Whenua Hoko’) is the property arm of Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara Development Trust (‘NMWoK’). The business is led by Daniel Clay (Tumuaki (Chief Executive), who is part of Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara).
Whenua Hoko manages the commercial real estate interests and opportunities of NMWoK. These include land held by NMWoK, and opportunities resulting from regulatory and other rights and interests. North-West Auckland is one of the focus areas for Whenua Hoko, as it is within the rōhe of Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara and is the next urban growth area for Auckland. The rōhe and wider area of interest for Whenua Hoko extends from North-West Auckland to South Head and Wellsford in the north. Whenua Hoko is a subsidiary of Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara Commercial Development Ltd, which is the commercial arm of Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara.
Whenua Hoko’s business includes both land acquisition and development and commercial property investments. It works closely with partners and stakeholders to grow its business and property portfolio. This portfolio includes land at Hobsonville Point, where Whenua Hoko’s subsidiary Te Uru Ltd, owns and is developing land for housing.
