Useful COVID Information for our Communities

27 January 2022

Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara wants to acknowledge the tireless support and dedication of Ngā Marae e Rima Whiti Te Ra o Reweti, Haranui, Kakanui, Araparera and Puatahi.

Throughout rolling lockdowns and the latest Omicron outbreak our Marae have swiftly activated their COVID response teams to ensure support is available and provided to our whānau.

Māori communities across the country have united to support each other throughout unpredictable and extremely difficult times and we wanted to share some useful resources with our whānau.

Māori Health Providers Offering Vaccinations

A list of all Māori health providers offering vaccinations and hauora support for whānau in their rohe can be found here Māori Vaccination Clinics

Whānau with concerns can find more information about the specific support available and guidelines to follow if you feel unwell can be found on the COVID 19 website

Progress and vaccination efforts for Māori and stories highlighting the creative approaches Iwi and Hapū are taking to maintain manaakitanga are being shared in a fortnightly pānui by Te Puni Kōkiri. To subscribe to the pānui or check out the stories you can visit Karawhiua.

Information that outlines additional resources, support and funding available for Marae and Māori communities is available at COVID-19 Information for Māori
