Christmas Hampers

11 January 2022

Tēnā tatou e te whānau

As 2021 has come to an end, Ngā Maunga Whakahii o Kaipara want to acknowledge and extend our eternal gratitude to Ngā Marae e Rima o Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara.

COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on many of our whānau and despite the unpredictability and ongoing demand our Marae have stood firm as their tokatūmoana. They’ve continued to demonstrate manaakitanga, tautoko and aroha throughout a tumultuous time.

Whiti Ora o Kaipara Charitable Trust have partnered with Ngā Marae e Rima and enlisted the support of community business partners to contribute to Marae Christmas Hampers for whānau which were distributed just before Christmas.

This partnership signifies a dedicated commitment to revitalising and strengthening relationships through maintaining a centralised focus on the wellbeing of our people.

Whiti Ora o Kaipara wish to thank local businesses, River Valley Meats, the Kai Collective, Living Goodness, Gourmet Paparika and Joey and Eerol who are a whānau business in Dargaville for contributing Meat and Veggies.

Wrightson Dargaville kindly transported the goods free of charge to Wellsford, we thank you all for your kindness and your koha towards brightening Christmas for our whānau.
